GARY LISNEY IS THE FIRST FISHER FC MANAGER

Fisher FC are delighted to have appointed Gary Lisney as First Team Manager for the forthcoming season.  He will be taking control of the fledgling club in the Kent League.

Gary's name is familiar to supporters of the now defunct Fisher Athletic as he was the number two for 18 months to Wayne Burnett, and indeed briefly managed them following Burnett's departure to Grays.  Lisney see's the job as a long term project, has taken the club to heart and understands the constraints that go with the position.

Chairman Martin Eede said on the appointment; 'Gary was the standout
candidate who is already a popular and a well respected figure around the
club. He has the clubs best interests at heart and is excited by the
project we have here. He comes in highly recommended by his former peers,
he's gained good experience at Conference level and has many contacts in
the non league game'.

The Chairman continued; 'The new manager is one of our own and I know Gary
will do everything possible to ensure we have a competitive team for the
next campaign and beyond.'

Under Wayne Burnett, Fisher Athletic gained a reputation for playing some of the
best free flowing and attacking football in the non league world - Eede was
keen to ensure these fine traditions would be upheld by the new manager,
Eede continued; 'Lisney's certainly got the pedigree having worked with
Burnett for so long. Hopefully our new side will be good to watch next year
and our supporters should have much to enjoy.'

Fisher FC supporters are very excited by this appointment, and look forward to seeing a stylish brand of football at Champion Hill.
